- Abstract
- The distance from ports was estimated in km and mapped in order to be used as criterion within the Spatial Multi-Criteria Evaluation process for the aquaculture suitability evaluation. The grid was extracted from the pixel centroid of the satellite Sea Surface Temperature (SST) data at a spatial resolution of 1km2 (CMEMES - SST_MED_SST_L4_NRT_OBSERVATIONS_010_004).

- Supplemental Information
- The Adriatic Greek area was gridded extracting the centroid of each pixel of the Sea Surface Temperature (SST) NetCDF data produced by Copernicus Marine Environment Monitoring Service (CMEMS), at a spatial resolution of 1km2 (SST_MED_SST_L4_NRT_OBSERVATIONS_010_004). The distance of each centroid from the nearest port was derived through the Nearest Neighbour Analysis (QGIS tool) and represented in km. The distance from ports criterion, within Spatial Multi-Criteria Evaluation process for the aquaculture suitability evaluation, represent a proxy of the economic cost for the farmers.
